Special Events

The District holds special community household hazardous waste collection events three times per year for residents who live further away from our permanent facility. All East County residents may utilize any of the special collection events.

Brentwood Event
Event Date: First Saturday of October each year
Location: Brentwood Transfer Station, 2300 Elkins Way in Brentwood
Operating Hours: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Oakley Event
Event Date: Second Saturday of May each year
Location: DuPont parking lot, 6000 Bridgehead Road in Oakley
Operating Hours: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Byron Event
Event Date: To be announced (call 756-1990)
Location: Main Street next to the railroad tracks in Byron
Operating Hours: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Knightsen Event
Event Date: To be announced (call 756-1990)
Location: Knightsen Avenue between 1st and 2nd Streets next to the railroad tracks
Operating Hours: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
