Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors
Federal Glover began his career in public service while attending Pittsburg High School where he served as Student Body President. After attending San Francisco State University, Federal joined Dow Chemical Corporation and has worked there for nearly two decades. He won a seat on the Pittsburg City Council in 1995 and was elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2001.
Federal served as Mayor of the City of Pittsburg from 1998-1999, was past Chairman of Pittsburg's Redevelopment Agency, Housing Authority and Pittsburg's Power Company. In addition, he served on the Contra Costa Transportation Authority, Transplan, School District Liaison, and Industrial Zone Advisory Committee. Federal is also on the Board of Directors of the East County Boys & Girls Club, and is a member of the N.A.A.C.P., as well as the Sons of Italy.
Dr. Sean Wright
Mayor, City of Antioch
Dr. Sean Wright is Mayor for the City of Antioch, the second most populated city in Contra Costa County. In addition to his responsibilities as Antioch’s highest-ranking official, Dr. Wright is the owner operator of The Wright Start Chiropractic and Executive Director for the East County Business Education Alliance. He was CEO of the Antioch Chamber of Commerce from 2010-2016.
Current President of Antioch Chichibu Sister City Organization, former distinguished President of Kiwanis of the Delta, and the 2011 Antioch “Citizen of the Year”, Dr. Wright has a long and distinguished career reflecting a commitment to the people and businesses of Antioch. A strong advocate for economic development, business-education alliances and community service, Dr. Wright has been appointed, or volunteered his time, to a diverse range of community groups which help make Antioch a place where families can live, work and play.
Dr. Wright and his wife Lani are the proud parents of five children. They are active in their church, Kiwanis, Rotary, Boy Scouts of America, youth sporting programs, and non-profits which help elevate poverty. Dr. Wright has a Bachelor of Science degree. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life West Chiropractic College with his doctorate in 2000.
Councilmember, City of Pittsburg
Dwaine "Pete" Longmire is currently a member of the Pittsburg City Council. This is Pete's second term , first being elected in 2010. A seasoned law enforcement professional, Pete began his career at the Vallejo Police department and served the Vallejo community from 1978 through 1980. He joined the Pittsburg Police Department in 1980 until he retired in 1998. Prior to joining the Pittsburg City Council, he worked for Kaiser Permanente from 2002-2014 as their Security/ Support Services Director where he was the recipient of the distinguished Kaiser Leadership Excellence Award. Pete is a California State Licensed Private Investigator and has proudly served on the Contra Costa Civil Grand Jury for two consecutive terms, 2000-2002.
Pete represents Pittsburg on the Tri Delta Transit Board, the Pittsburg Housing Authority, the Pittsburg Power Company Board and the High Desert Power Authority. Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Pete was raised in Vallejo where he attended Vallejo public schools and then continued his education at Bay Area community colleges. Married to Annette, together they have eight children and 17 grandchildren. Pete has primarily lived in the Pittsburg community since 1980.
